The new president

As I really dislike politics, just a short message.
The USA has a new president. Bless him! Most importantly, Bush is gone.
Now, hopefully nothing similar to those underneath will come out of Obama's mouth.
G.W. Bush:
“We have a firm commitment to NATO, we are a part of NATO. We have a
firm commitment to Europe. We are a part of Europe.”

“The vast majority of our imports come from outside the country.”
“It isn’t pollution that’s harming the environment. It’s the impurities in our air and water that are doing it. “
“Well, I think if you say you’re going to do something and don’t do it, that’s trustworthiness."
“I have made good judgments in the past. I have made good judgments in the future.”
“We are ready for any unforeseen event that may or may not occur.”
“I’m also not very analytical. You know I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about myself, about why I do things.”
“I don’t have the foggiest idea about what I think about international foreign policy.”

22 January

I was in England then, I mean 22nd January. The thing that happened that day absolutely shocked me, as it did many people. It was the day of Heath Ledger's death. In two days time it'll be a year since he's left his family and his little daughter. Bless her!
So here's something from me, just to honour his memory.

And here is a link to the last interview with Heath: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vwjnRY7Krg

Teaching

During the final year of my high school I changed my mind several times as to what to study when I graduate. In the end I set my mind on English, because I've always loved this language and, frankly, I though I was quite good at it. The next thing I remember is Kay Jay Oh. Just kidding, I applied for IFA as well, but well... So here I am, and now IFA can only be jealous to have not admitted such a brilliant student, hehe. Since I started KJO I have been sure I wanted to be a teacher. But now, since I teach eight hours a week in a primary school, I do have some doubts. I still think I have some kind of gift for teaching, it's just the job is killing me. Maybe if it was higher level, like LO or something. It's not that I don't like kiddoes, they're great...sometimes. Mostly they just chat and don't learn. Besides, teaching colours and numbers is not what I want to do for the rest of my life, honestly.
Anyway, I don't know yet what to do with my life.
As to teaching practice, for me it's just rubbish. I've been in England for 9 months, working at school. But who cares, right? Because a grade is needed I have to do 30 hours of practice, as if it would help me with anything, as if the 3 observed lessons to get a grade weren't enough. Besides, now that I've been really teaching for a couple of months, I am now sure that the teaching practice is nothing in comparison with proper teaching. It does give teeny-weeny wee little bit of practice, but in my case, it's worthless, just takes time and energy. Whatever!
Tha tha tha thaaaaaat's all folks!
