My place II

Well, actually, I was being realistic rather than pessimistic. At least I thought so. Well, in the end, these are the facts. I like going home, cause my family lives there, plus it's cool in the summer, cause we have a big garden. But the village is rubbish. Maybe because I've lived there pretty much the whole my life I prefer city than countryside...not really countryside as such, just my place. None of my neighbours in Poznan knows me, and I'm so glad they don't. You now must think I'm awful, maybe I am, but living next to a person who knows more about you than yourself can be quite annoying. So I do prefer it that way. Besides, I can still meet people I know and care about, not being bothered with surveillance and gossiping.

My place

I come from a very small village near Poznan. To be honest, I don't really like it. There's nothing there, and nothing's happening. Even if you try to make the people to something as a community, it usually doesn't work or fails after some time, causing distaste and disappointment. We have a primary school and a middle school, or whatever you call it in English (you know I mean gimnazjum anyway). Uhm, we wouldn't even have the middle school if it wasn't for our wonderful parents who fought for it. However, as usual, all those efforts ended up in a feud and disagreement, but whatever. Anyways, now kids have a fantastic middle school. Well, at least the building is fantastic. Maybe I shouldn't mention what's going on on the inside. Or maybe I will... Basically, the level is really low... but so it is in the primary school, kids not being able to read correctly even in Polish, not to mention English.
Ok, the rest of my village is mostly houses. There are a few shops there, some hairdresser or something (I don't know, cause I don't go there), railway station (though it has a different name than the name of the village), and I believe that's it. We don't even have a church, though it's quite close, in the neighbouring village. Roads in my village are disastrous. We have some nice forests surrounding the place, though. It's cool to have a walk there or go and pick some mushrooms in the autumn. Uhm, I'm thinking what else to say. I reckon that's it. In conclusion, my village is rubbish and forests are all over the place anyways, so you don't need to go there. And it is, literally and metaphorically speaking, at the end of the world (or rahter in the middle of nowhere), cause it's at the end of the gmina and the powiat, plus at a border of two other powiaty. Yeah, that is all now.
Take care Folks! Ciao
