Childhood memories

Oi, this is me on my first day of school, leaving my house with my sis peeking at the door, hehe. I know it's not a really early photo, cause I was already 6 then, but hey, it still is a picture of me when I was a child. As to memories, it's one of the strange things about me (and believe me there is a lot of them). I don't really have many memories, earliest of them starting when I was about 6, rest of it being what my Mum and others told me. Anyway, I've always liked Christmas. We used to spend it with the whole family, lots of people, laughter and all that. But since my family split (don't ask why, it's a long and complicated story) I spend Christmas only with my parents and my sis. And I like it that way, I really do. Nevertheless, my earliest Christmas memories are connected with a huge table, loads of people and food, and the hussle about presents. The most memorable thing for me is my parents 'feeding' me, i.e. taking the bones out of the carp, so they always finished supper as the last ones (my cousinns being older than my and my sis). I remember most of the presents I got throughout the years (it's been the same for a couple of years now, since my parents have a clothes shop), Pocahontas perfume just poped into my mind:) It smelled really nice.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! And have a lot fun on 31st December/1st January ;)
Cheers!!!

More music

I forgot to mention Kate Nash. She's quite vulgar, I mean her language (one of the songs is entitled 'Sh** Song', and that's just one), so don't listen to her if you're particularly sensitive. But I like her songs, 'cause they talk about life, just everyday situations. And how could I forget Nelly Furtado, who should have been mentioned along with J.T. and Timbaland. (Did you know that she acted in an episode of CSI:New York? She played a shoplifter.) And, just to recommend, Alicia Keys and her latest album "As I am". It's really great, lovely to listen to.

Lesson

Oi, something actually happened in my bring life! I had my 'practices'in middle school today, and one of the lessons was the graded one (so called 'lekcja pokazowa'). I was a bit stresses in the morning, but as soon as I entered the classroom the stress was gone. I really feel good and confident in what I do. Nevertheless, the lesson could have been better. Although the mark is only given after three lessons, I was told I would get 4+ for this one. I do agree, it was kind of not perfectly organised, simply because I thought I won't even be able to do what I planned, not to mention that some time will be left. So the ending of the lesson was a bit chaotic, indeed. Plus, I focused too much on making the lesson interesting and basically forgot about keeping aims in mind, so I shall remember not to do that in the future. Of course, it should be interesting, but more focused. Anyway, I enjoyed it, on the whole it was a god lesson, so I'm quite pleased. I keep my fingers crossed for all of you who still have to do the lesson - good luck!

Films

Alright then, this time I want to write a few words about kinds of films I like. I love watching films, there are some I've seen like 100 times and I know them by heart, who did what and when and how and why.I love romantic comedies, simply because they are simple and funny, and it's easy to relax watching them. My personal favourite is 'Love Actually', probably because many fabulous actors take part in it, like Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson. Apart from that, I love 'Pirates of the Caribbean', mostly the first part. If Johnny Depp is not enough, let me mention Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley. Coming back to Mr Depp, I love him to pieces. 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', 'Edward Scissorhand', 'Finding Neverland'. To me he is the Elvis of the big screen. I also like gangster films and comedies (like 'Snatch' (Jason Statham;*) or 'Ordinary Decent Criminal' - it's well funny, and what I like the most about it is that when you watch it you actually like the main character who is a gangster). Next, 'The Boondock Saints', a film which probably very few of you heard of. I watched it by accident quite a long time ago, and it's been one of my very favourite ones ever since. Have a quick look at the trailer if you like.

Music

Hi there! This is the first of the posts describing things I like and love. Let's begin with music. I like many different kinds of music. I like some good tunes to bounce to, so I adore Timbaland's 'Shock Value' and J.T.'s 'Future Sex\Love Sounds'. I love dancing, so I often play them albums and get in a frenzy in my room. I also like dancy tunes of other musicians, often single songs (like 'Low' by Flo-Rida). There is a lot of songs I like because they bring good memories. But it's like that with my favourite music anyway, I like one tune, but not necesarily the musician as such, or the kind of music. I also like to listen to Shakira and latino music in general, cause it's cool to dance to as well. I like Dido and Katie Melua, their songs are just really nice to listen to and relax. I fell for Amy Macdonald from the first sight, or should I say from the first 'listening', when I heard her first single in England. I bought the album and I don't regret at all. Her music is fantastic! And when I think that she wrote all the tunes and lirycs, it's like WOW! And she's only twenty-one. So here she is, my latest musical hero.

My place II

Well, actually, I was being realistic rather than pessimistic. At least I thought so. Well, in the end, these are the facts. I like going home, cause my family lives there, plus it's cool in the summer, cause we have a big garden. But the village is rubbish. Maybe because I've lived there pretty much the whole my life I prefer city than countryside...not really countryside as such, just my place. None of my neighbours in Poznan knows me, and I'm so glad they don't. You now must think I'm awful, maybe I am, but living next to a person who knows more about you than yourself can be quite annoying. So I do prefer it that way. Besides, I can still meet people I know and care about, not being bothered with surveillance and gossiping.

My place

I come from a very small village near Poznan. To be honest, I don't really like it. There's nothing there, and nothing's happening. Even if you try to make the people to something as a community, it usually doesn't work or fails after some time, causing distaste and disappointment. We have a primary school and a middle school, or whatever you call it in English (you know I mean gimnazjum anyway). Uhm, we wouldn't even have the middle school if it wasn't for our wonderful parents who fought for it. However, as usual, all those efforts ended up in a feud and disagreement, but whatever. Anyways, now kids have a fantastic middle school. Well, at least the building is fantastic. Maybe I shouldn't mention what's going on on the inside. Or maybe I will... Basically, the level is really low... but so it is in the primary school, kids not being able to read correctly even in Polish, not to mention English.
Ok, the rest of my village is mostly houses. There are a few shops there, some hairdresser or something (I don't know, cause I don't go there), railway station (though it has a different name than the name of the village), and I believe that's it. We don't even have a church, though it's quite close, in the neighbouring village. Roads in my village are disastrous. We have some nice forests surrounding the place, though. It's cool to have a walk there or go and pick some mushrooms in the autumn. Uhm, I'm thinking what else to say. I reckon that's it. In conclusion, my village is rubbish and forests are all over the place anyways, so you don't need to go there. And it is, literally and metaphorically speaking, at the end of the world (or rahter in the middle of nowhere), cause it's at the end of the gmina and the powiat, plus at a border of two other powiaty. Yeah, that is all now.
Take care Folks! Ciao
